    Non-Fly Coho 2026

First keeper in the boat, second of the year. Gave it to my buddy! Was super slow though.

WDFW did not request funding for a 2027 Skagit-Sauk season

And yet to a majority or at least plurality of Washington voters, the truth is paying for your family friends transition was more of a priority to them than funding our sport fishing season.

Reflections from the end of my first long term relationship

In the spirit of snapping out of it it is just dawning on me that I wasted the entire Chinook season being depressed instead of going out there and roping in monsters. Let that be a lesson in life

Reflections from the end of my first long term relationship

There’s been a nude beach over there for quite some time. Technically illegal but sparsely enforced as it’s private property that people trespass on. I had the experience of seeing folks over there when I took my teenage cousin flounder pounding haha

Reflections from the end of my first long term relationship

I am surprised more people don't talk about what goes on just North of the oil docks...

I thought about giving one but if I gave the details I’d probably get banned

Reflections from the end of my first long term relationship

I hope this doesn't come across as too off topic for this forum. I kind of needed to hear some older folks advice and while I would normally turn to my parents, they had more of a fairy tail where they met at 24 and 25 in college, my dad played the hopeless romantic and won her over, her parents...

That image makes me glad I skipped the MA10 opener. If this isn't a perspective trick this looks way worse than Area 9 did when I was out

Reflections from the end of my first long term relationship

Y'know the apps have been a struggle but despite everyone telling me that getting laid as a distraction isn't the right move, I have to say it's been helping 😂. Getting all my male friends together for a guys night out this weekend is gonna help too.

It’s funny because I rarely switch flies which probably explains why fishing is a struggle sometimes

The nice thing about the Muslim community in the U.S. is we kept arranged marriages but made it less about social status and power and more about putting people together based on long term compatibility rather than feelings. It’s looking like an attractive option but who knows. I’m committed to...

I’ve yet to catch an ocean run fish from the beach, I think that’ll make me forget

I honestly think that’s part of what happened on her end actually the wise-ass fisherman advice has been some of the better advice I’ve gotten, when in conjunction with my therapist. I’m not sure she’d like @Mossback advice as much as I did though…

Which is for the best I think, sometimes you don't realize in the moment that she made the right choice for both of you. And if she made the wrong choice - life is long, and I am blessed that me and the good people I meet often cross paths again. I hope she is one of them but accept that I...

Reflections from the end of my first long term relationship

My girlfriend left me just over a month ago. We had been together for two years. She was 21 and I am 24, we are both young, have a ton of growing to do, and I had no delusions that I knew I was going to be with her forever. But it felt so sudden. If I look back I can think of many things that...

    Commencement Bay opener…

Are you sure it’s open? Not seeing anything in the regs. If it’s anything like the Elliot bay fishery crack of dawn is the ticket. The only takedown I’ve had over there was on a silver horde plug funny enough, so don’t be afraid to fish something outside the norm

Flat fish fights seem mostly to be about physics and bringing a big flat thing with a large surface area up against water pressure. But it’s hilarious how well they fight for how tiny they are. When I was out lingcod fishing with my salmon trolling rod the bends would convince me we had a big...
