Ran with the bulls in Pamplona. watched for a couple days, then figured, wth. after a few yrs under my belt, determined that i would not do that again - too many other folks - that could impact your day. though at that time - 75 i think, there was not as many touristas. more spanish guys.
i forgot my wading staff a couple yrs ago, and got a camp on a very nice steelhead drift. ended up passing on fishing it, as i would have been a pucker dance all the way. figured, better to do it right the next time.
on the baja trip, it seems we were getting fantastic sunrise/set views the whole trip. maybe i was just getting up earlier.... this is still in the usa, looking out over salton sea.
Another pop up camper option is All Terrain Camper in Sacramento. They kept the product more basic, and four wheel went for volume and more bells and whistles. i had one with my gmc 1500 for a couple of years, and it was great. i bought it w/o interior, and outfitted myself.
my understanding, is for instance, the roads in rural oregon need $ from the state to both complete building and maintaining. generally, from my just driving around, it appears that the roads in eastern wa, and or, are in pretty good shape.
i dont know anything, but i doubt registration fees are tracking with the year of the vehicle. if a vehicle uses the roads, i dont thing it should matter how old the vehicle is.
fun and games on the road in baja. these fancy shocks work great, when they are attached. next day the other rear decided to do the same. on the way to yuma tomorrow to get things put back together. luckily no real problemes other than a little stress. cervazas come in handy down here.
this is the descent into aqua verde in baja. there are a couple of these blind corners.... pucker factor at hi.. once at the beach, cold brew factor was satisfied.
cant say about cali, but the mexican food in baja, is great, and unlike the mex food i have had here in the pnw. no mass qty's of refried beans for one. tasty. and hardly any spicy heat.
i was on the deschutes years ago, towards the end of a 4 day trip, and beers started showing up floating right by me. i collected maybe 5 or 6, and i am pretty sure they were consumed that evening. i think it was deemed some kind of msg from the universe....
