From my understanding it’s not like it used to be 10 years ago. But a group of us still make the 12 hour drive and fish it every year and have a great time. It’s not overly technical. We mostly fish buggers, leeches and bait fish patterns. It’s a fun lake to fish!

From my observations the shad smolt outmigration starts in mid August and peaks at the end of September. A little below where you were fishing was good for bass and Pikeminnow in early October.

I’m helping a family friend go through their dad’s stuff. Can anyone identify some of these reels. The Orvis reels are there only ones that have markings telling what they are. The others have no identifying marks on them.
