    Greenback Cutthroat Net Build

As PNW Fly Fisherman, Gil Nyerges use to say; “It’s now the mistake, but how you recover that’s important” The cutthroat is so cool, and only rivaled by the materials and craftsmanship. The pebbles add a lot of eye pleasing detail to the epoxy handle. Nice work @Jameson Hawn !

    Port Ludlow Pram Build

@Jameson Hawn is doing a great job updating his Port Ludlow Pram build in the General Forum. He and I are each building boats together, and he’s helping me with his woodworking skills and tools. I’m a few steps behind Jameson’s build, and my boat will be 1.5” less freeboard and 6” more beam in...

Thrift Shop Find. PNW Fly Fishing

I moved this past summer and found this trio of books I found about 8 years ago at the thrift store. I think it came from professional fly there, Arlington, WA resident, Joe Butorac. I shared this on the other PNW website years ago, but it’s cool enough to share again. Les Johnson signed...

    Port Ludlow Pram build underway!

Being apart of this pram build is like early Christmas for me. @Jameson Hawn is fearless in the wood shop and generous with inviting a nobody like me along for this build. I’m using his tools, his shop & his brain. Haha All I have to offer is ideas… some good & some no so much! 😆 His boat...

    NFR Truck tires?

I have these on my truck Tim, and I just replaced them with the exact same tires. They are great tires, and relatively quiet compared to BFGoodrich AT.

Not mine -- would be a great place to call home!

Sweet! We were looking for property and cabins in this area, but that kinda ended when we moved to the Peninsula. It’s a beautiful part of the state and this area is bound to increase in value, if it you can continue to secure fire insurance.

    Port Ludlow Pram build underway!

Welcome to the PNW Fly Fishing Forum @Jameson Hawn , you Pram Junkie! And… Thank you for letting me tag along on this boat build! Jameson and I were talking about this boat, and how to find the plans, in Jan/Feb 2024. Then in May, when I moved for my job to Port Townsend, I meet him! We...

    Kayak Outriggers for canoe

With the canoe, I’m not sure how the outrigger is secured to the gunnel. I expect there is away, but it would have to be a solid connection if you are relying on the outrigger. EasyRider boats are very well made and I think I’ve seen sail rigs and dagger boards attached to these canoes. I...

What have you done for your boat lately?

Once you decide to sell, it’s my opinion that it’s best to get the boat to a new home at a fair price.
