What have you done for your boat lately?

I love this thread! I hope this post qualifies… I actually helped my Dad on this one. His 1989 SeaSport’s 250hp died before his boating days were over. We decided to sell the 22’ behemoth and see what comes available. I sold that boat in a day, for 22K cash money! Wow, I could have sold two...

    Oarlock height extension.

I remember seeing this pram for sale. I think you scored a nice boat and it looks very comfortable to fish from!

    Oarlock height extension.

If you are not in a hurry, I am working with a machine shop here in Port Townsend to build a set of risers that will range from 3-4 inches. I may take 3 months or so to get it all figured out. Feel free to message me if you are in a rush and I can share some other options.

What a pleasant surprise. These jobs you have to prepare yourself for the worse, and if it works out like this, hooray!

    Terry Hunt pram's

There had been a T Hunt pram for sale, listed in FB Marketplace. Its listed location was Winthrop, WA. I happen to be driving around a neighborhood in Mazama and noticed a nice pram on a trailer, under a tarp. I couldn’t resist, so I pulled over annd ran over to take a peak. Sure enough...

Thanks @Evan I wanted this done before the salmon enter MA9, and it was done in a day, in and out of the shop, with a clean install!

The 16’ fiberglass skiff came to me with no electronics, and really no wiring foundation. Our local shop in Port Townsend, Westside Marine, did a great job installing: - Battery isolators, - 4-switch fuse panel - 9” Simrad Sonar/Plotter - bilge pump It’s all mounted to a piece of starboard, and...

Suggestions For Battery Nav Lights For Kayaks Or Small Boats

I pretty well did this exact same with this product. The 16’ fiberglass boat I just bought has no bow light, so I found this Navilight and it may finally be put to use! 😂

This turned out really nice. Great idea on the pipe sections. Can you share a picture of your boat? I’m curious as to what you have!

What have you done for your boat lately?

The 40hp Honda has 170 hours logged in. I do like the 40, but that little 8hp OB… while older, it runs like a Swiss watch. Sounds so good! Both are in very nice condition. I didn’t know, but the manufacturer rarely offer power trim on these tiller controlled, mid-size outboards. The Honda...

What have you done for your boat lately?

I paid 10K, and I suspect that sounds a bit outrageous, but these Moochers are difficult to find in good condition. The seller sold it to me for less than he paid 4 years ago. Anyway, keep an eye out if you like them and feel free to send me a note if I can share what I’ve learned the last...

What have you done for your boat lately?

It was offered with, or without a windshield and set up for tiller steering. The windshield catches the wind & can move the boat too fast across the water for jigging and mooching. (I hope it works great for fly casters) They are stable and offer a relatively dry ride.

My new ride is nearly vintage…. 1991 Markell Tiller operated Moocher. I can’t wait to get in on the bay here in Port Townsend And chase salmon and searun cutthroat.
