I bought a new pair of Korkers which came with a spiked Vibram sole. I have always used spiked felt when needed for very slippery conditions. Does anyone have experience with this combo? with the spiked Vibram for use with slippery sites. Thanks

Personally, I fish ants all the time. The fish see them on a daily basis as they fall in the river off trees and/or hit the water by accident when flying ants are around. You don't have to wait for a "hatch" either. Fishing ants close to the bank, or undercut is a very productive technique...

I would normally guess PMD, or PED, but the eye color seems wrong and the wings are much more opaque and yellow than I would expect. I don't know about the size, or when the photo was taken, but I suspect it could be a Hex fly as well

Thanks. I thought that there might be some "special" Carp fly, but as I tie variations of the Stone & Damsel for Trout if I ever come across Carp I will know what to do.

I have never fished for Carp. Can you show some examples of Carp Flies. Just curious
