    Caprs on jigs

Ouch, that would haunt me. I was always a 8# Max guy for summer steel. And always blood knots. My buddy was trying to convince me to go 2x on a particular clear river one time. I told him he could take his 2x upriver and catch rainbows if he wanted. I'm sticking with 8# Max no matter how clear...

    Caprs on jigs

Exactly! I actually do enjoy seeing how long a fly and leader can survive. I think my record is 6 capr in a row on the same fly with no leader repair. And that was with 10# fluoro & a couple of dorsal "twangs". It's not the best strategy to land that fish of a lifetime, but oh well. Crazy how...

    Caprs on jigs

I've had good luck so far with Ahrex and Hanak jig hooks for some fairly stout rainbows and smallies, but haven't tried them for carp. I think the Hanaks are stronger. I use the H 450 BL. I had an Ahrex break on me one time, but it was when I had a hold of it and the fish wagged right at the...

    Caprs on jigs

Nice! What hook is that? It looks a little skinny for capr work, but maybe it's just the photo. And it sounds like it got worked!

NFR TICKS - The Threat Grows

Ok, this was in my YouTube feed. I haven't searched ticks in my Google or my YouTube. Is PNWFF selling my info to the man? :ROFLMAO: Pretty funny...although, Lyme disease is not.

Catching a unicorn & DFL late report

Love when an old spot gives you a great day! It doesn't always turn out that way, but when it does.... awesome.

NFR TICKS - The Threat Grows

Ever fished Quail Lake? One of our fishing partners brought his springer. He was actually a pretty good fishing dog (which I RARELY say), but the poor guy had like 20 ticks on him by the time we were done. Between that and all the ticks on us his owner ended up buck naked in the uncovered bed of...

What boxes/systems do people like for storing big streamers?

I'll never not hear that song now when I'm musky fishing...which sort of seems appropriate. 🤘

What boxes/systems do people like for storing big streamers?

I put my musky flies in a BBQ tools case that I got as a Father's Day gift one year. 😁 It's too big for a float tube or my Commander, but it works well in the boat if you want them pre-rigged with 100# fluoro or your preferred bite leader. I like Randy's fly wallet idea if space is an issue.

    Boat Positioning for SRC

This video seems appropriate. Josh doesn't need no stinkin trolling motor. He can also stand on the gunwale and not fall in. 😁 Go Zags!

    Boat Positioning for SRC

I haven't done it for years, but I had a couple beaches I really enjoyed where I could float the boat about 60-70' off the beach and just ride the tide. I would use my transom mount trolling motor to correct if need be, but there are times when you can float a LONG ways without much correction...

USPS inefficiency with a simple shipment

I share Dustin's experience... some towns are great, but some are not. The USPS here in Covtown was terrible for a 10 year span. The post office was terrible, the mail carriers were terrible. Like not good and not nice. Unfortunately, no other way to say it. The good part is all of us...

Type 2 Fun - Tigers in the Rain

Attaway! That's a great hookup story. Haha! I've read and seen video over and over...and over to keep working boat side even if they got stuck and came off. I hate to think of how many fish I've lost by not figure 8'ing 5 more times. Now I know I can just leave the fly in the water! 😁 🤘 Love...

    WTT 870 12 gauge

Hi there, My dad is looking for a home protection 12 gauge pump. His cheap Stevens jammed on him. Luckily, just while practicing. My dad said he's done with it. I hadn't seen a Chinese Stevens in person until his. I think I'd be done with it too. Not impressed. I told him an 870 would not...
