There is a kids only pond/lake in lacey at the lacey community center. Sorry, I don't recall the name. But it is part of city of lacey parks. It may also work.

Inspired by flies I got from Clarkman, I have been watching a lot of Pike fly tying videos on YouTube and have even bought some materials to tie a few different streamers. Seeing some of the various big streamers, it got me wondering if you could just scale them down for bass or trout and up...

I have an older 15' Smokercraft Alaskan with a tiller 15hp and a saltwater trolling motor. It works well in every lake I have fished for bass and trout. I do fish it in the south sound a little, but not as much as I would like and it does fine there as well. Have fished in around Olympia...

I'll have to find a photo, but my favorite by-catch has to be a few turtles I caught on the Eastside. It was the last thing i expected to catch and they were colorful. The best part was trying to not get bit when putting them back in the water.

Cant comment on brand but the one I use came from a second hand store (I think it was habitat for humanity). I think I paid $20. It was clean, has swivel base, adjustable arm rests, and goes up and down.

We have a whole barn yard full of birds. Chickens, ducks, and geese. They are all cool in their own ways. We give away eggs to keep things manageable but they keep the bugs, slugs, and other such things at bay.

Congrats on the new vise. I tied on an old regal vise I got used for $20 for years but have been using a renzetti traveler for probably the last 15-20. I still have and use that old regal fron time to time. Many fond memories from years gone bye.
