Non-stick vs cast iron vs carbon steel.

Yeah there's worse. I've seen it. A guy can fully crush a nut on a dirt bike tank or have it torn from his sack by an angry wolverine or cancer and still be a champion on all fronts. 2 balls with cancer, now that's the type of life altering shit that keeps me up at night. Liver cancer, no...

Non-stick vs cast iron vs carbon steel.

Non stick will give you ball cancer or worse. I don't use anything plastic base that gets hot and touches food. Just my rule. Mileage may vary but I wouldn't even consider a non stick Teflon base deal.

Humanity has reached a new low - When does this stop?

To be fair it's been black Monday all week on wall street so there is that. Shit. I didn't read all the replies. Please take my comment in the spirit of the thread and light hearted as well.

Why in the world does WA still have paper-only fishing licenses?

Why is an environmentally friendly soy ink made from carbon neutral soy we import via coal powered ships from the far corners of the earth. Plus that secondary revenue stream from tickets that working people don't take the time to show up and defend is a boon to a boondoggle agency.

Zoleo vs InReach vs new Satellite Cell Phones

I know of no Garmin satellite device or other satellite device that does not require a subscription. It can be used stand alone but functionality is better via the phone.

Zoleo vs InReach vs new Satellite Cell Phones

Your experience is as I would expect. Why advertise this functionality as an emergency feature then have it not work? That seems like a giant liability to me.

Why in the world does WA still have paper-only fishing licenses?

You say this like Washington doesn't collect epic levels of tax revenue from other streams.

Why in the world does WA still have paper-only fishing licenses?

Alaska is downright impressive. I didn't think a government agency could make it so easy for me to give them money. Kudos to you Alaska.

Zoleo vs InReach vs new Satellite Cell Phones

No. I don't trust a cell phone company to have this feature work in a pinch. We all know that there will be some bullshit "start an account" or other barrier making it completely useless in an emergency. I also believe in redundancy. I never take one map or navigation system into the wilderness...

Zoleo vs InReach vs new Satellite Cell Phones

I have a Garmin mini up for grabs cheap if you want it. I think it's the earlier version. It works fine but the 66i makes it redundant for me

Why in the world does WA still have paper-only fishing licenses?

My all time favorite wdfw thing is getting parking tickets for the ink on your parking pass being faded out. It's just so Washington.

Zoleo vs InReach vs new Satellite Cell Phones

Garmin 66i you can Bluetooth to your phone and text. I don't use any preloaded messages and instead just text with it. Receiver gets a maplet location along with your text. It's a big upgrade from the Garmin mini which doesn't have message status. Overall I hate Garmin for their 80s interface...

    Quin road closure

I think North shore is closed as well right now. Maybe for bridge work. I need to roll up and confirm.

    Talkin Tires at LES SCHWAB

I had to quit on the Schwab. They couldn't keep my Buckshot Mudders in stock in my preferred sizes. Nothing cleans and claws like those Buckshots. Hell I'm preaching to the choir again. You know.

Queets open to Steelhead fishing until end of March 2025?

They will close the gates regardless in my opinion. The park has long used access denial as a flex there. I was forced to put a boat back on a trailer and exit the park during the Obama era shutdown. Yet there was a ranger there to escort me out of the park. While the park system in it's...

Queets open to Steelhead fishing until end of March 2025?

Hello OP. This is my home water. The nps regulatesv the river inside the Park which is essentially for simplicity above the salmon river confluence. There's a few items to consider being this is park territory on the majority of the river. One, there isn't always agreement between the regulation...

    USGS water data site

It's almost as if every update be it government or Microsoft just brings an interior product that's more confusing to use. Leave it alone already. Windows 7 was fine. The old usgs site was great. I agree the new one sucks. I wonder what it cost us for the upgrade that's actually a downgrade?
