Just measured it.. 59” overall and the opening is about 31” inches ….going from about 3-34” regarding the opening/tray section, I actually remember having to make several cuts, increasing the opening length, so the rod would easily slide in. If I make another one, I’d make it long enough...

No pix but the pair of osprey have returned to a light pole at a park not far from my house. They called out as they cruised over the neighborhood yesterday afternoon. I’m not much of a birder but they are such cool birds
