Squids for tuna.

Thanks to your observations we were able to get those fish farther out. A boat was crucial to reach them.

Took my son and nephew to fish humpies today, slow at first until slack low jumpers showed up with regularity. It was a run and gun operation zipping back and forth to put them within buzzbomb range. The boys had a fun time seeing huge pods of salmon swimming below the boat chasing their lures...

We saw a light spat between one boat and another motored sailboat this morning, both fishing. Pretty slow today, pinks are around but not in huge numbers yet.

Took my wife and teenager kids pinks fishing today in MA11, slow start in the late morning until pinks started rolling in around 1:30 with the incoming. I ran around to where the fish are and casted buzz bomb at them, let the kids reel in once hooked. Missed a bunch, landed 3.

Quick beach session Seattle side for me, very slow and lots of salad. Only saw one decent coho jumped way out, scooped up this guy but he was borderline sized wise so released it.

That happened to me before, first cast of the day and it broke near the handle. I guess rod fatigue, had some internal cracks and it couldn’t handle the load anymore, boom!

Fished a couple of beaches this morning, landed one lost one. Cloud cover helps, some bait around but not consistent enough to keep the coho around.
