I've had one of those anchors before (still actually have it) and I hated it. Got hung up on everything and when not hung up, didn't hold worth a crap. No experience anchoring on the Skagit but based on what Paige said above, I'd go with a pyramid anchor.

Getting a little better. Size 6, tungsten bead with a bit of lead wrap behind on the shaft. Marabou tails, couple strands of flash, black ice dub body with black hackle. Went a little heavy on the thread around the head on one. Otherwise, I think these will fish. And pinched barbs. 😉

I’ve been using the side feathers on a couple buggers and leeches. Seems to do a good job.
