    NFR Elk Herd in Carnation

Nice photos. I looked up that camera ..very cool. You might be interested in a technique, commonly named high dynamic range (HDR) allows the dynamic range of photos and videos to be captured beyond the native capability of the camera. It consists of capturing multiple frames of the same scene...

    Doorbell Cameras

I'll chime in here. The OP was about doorbell cameras. I will let the more knowledgeable people here steer her in the right direction for a security camera system. However I will add...Motion sensor floodlights are very cheap, effective and makes the video (if any) much more clear. Far superior...

Fishing stories.. or exciting stories while floating.. or ??

One day I was having lunch on my boat offshore of San Diego. I had carelessly left my fishing rod unattended, and a fish had pulled it overboard. I put on my dive gear and dove down to get my fishing rod. I quickly found the rod and began to reel in the line. After about a hundred feet of...

Fishing stories.. or exciting stories while floating.. or ??

Once I was fishing off a dock in San Diego Bay at night for Corvina. I landed a 7lb fish, and was unhooking it to release it, when a barbed hook ended up deep in my thumb. I managed to cut the hook, let the fish go, and walked to the local bar. Drink after drink I knew that I had to push the...

As the weather starts to improve, who is daydreaming about fishing‽

As a young boy, I learned from my grandfather that "anticipation" is a huge component regarding the enjoyment of sport fishing. This can not be understated. Today I got my Bass rod out. Fiddled around with my "tackle" and "anticipated" the upcoming, inevitable battles with five pound bass at...

Looking for a new stillwater stick

I like a 10ft 4wt to fish a sinking line from my float tube. I found that the ten foot rod made a huge difference in my (questionable) casting abilities. And the 4 wt? It seems to handle a 22 " trout, towing my float tube around the lake, just fine.

The Senko has the magical ability of being able to be fished in the weediest, stickiest, snaggiest places on the lake...... that's where the Bass are. Fly fisherman may find themselves at a disadvantage in this regard. However, I have no doubt that a "Senko Fly" could be tied in an equally (or...

Great input Pink Nighty. My humble theory is that a bass picks up the (stationary or sinking) lure like a football player picks up a fumble. After about a yard or so the fish is able to "tuck" that lure in like a running back. That's when I seem to hook em....I've missed more than a few.

IMHO, some of the effectiveness of the Senko is due to it not relying on a "reactionary bite". A diving plug, much like a stripped streamer, relies on a fairly sudden impulse from the fish. But Largemouth Bass, for what ever reason, often like to think about eating something. For instance, I can...

Fishing a weightless Senko is easy. I typically toss it out and let it sink to the bottom, sometimes having to work it through the "weeds" on its way down. Then let it sit, perfectly still, for one to five minutes. This takes patience, but is key.. The bass is nosing around it, circling it...

I like the fly fourth down. It emulates the "weedless" hook thing. Personally, it looks like a fish should prefer it to a translucent plastic material. I believe that a "fly" made with the "right" material, could be far superior to a Senko. A weightless Senko sinks at a certain rate... but a...

For some reason this particular color, size and shape of a plastic lure simply dominates all others. Senko sells tons of shapes, sizes and colors, but in Washington State the lure set up in the first minute of the OP video is SPOT ON! Refer to my post #10. Any variation of color, shape or size...
