Agreed. I kept my 5 and 7wt Z's and still use them, the 5 as my float tube rod, and the 7 for bass. I bought a 6wt NRX+ last year and that has eased the pain from the XP.

I sold my 6wt XP and now regret doing so.......

My neighbor does that for bass. He ties them on behind the eye of the hook on his streamers. I did not get a close look to see exactly how he did it, but it seems to work very well.

My wife converted our front yard into a pollinator garden and she graveled the back yard for a dog play area. Sold the mower and have zero yard maintenance. Do I miss having a yard, not one &*(&^ bit!

I think that was about what I had when I just replaced mine on my F250. I did get about 60k on a chevy 3/4 ton I had. I checked and the Vredestein's do not come in the size for my truck.

I have been using the LTX's for years. They are great for what I use my truck for, lots of dirt and gravel roads plus they do well in the snow. We have some gnarly basalt rocks around here that will tear through a sidewall, so that is why I went with them in the first place.

That is what I use for my boat. I have a waterproof daypack where I keep a change of clothes and any electronics, plus my old great divider for all of my fishing gear. The combo comes in handy when it starts to rain or just when everything gets wet, as happens on a boat.

I use a much older version, but still works very well for fishing. I am tempted to go after the one on closeout, nicer than my old one.

Some eye opening stories. I do not get worried floating around in my float tube or pontoon. But I am religous about wearing my pfd whenever I am in my float tube / pontoon / jet boat.

True that. I am from a very small little town in eastern WA and learned to drive and took my driving test using my dad's long-bed 3/4 ton. Same was true for most of my friends, we all had pickups because we grew up "in the woods."
