Lost Orvis Chest Pack NF Stilly

Please move this to the appropriate subforum if need be, not sure where to place this. I just realized I left a grey Orvis chest pack on the NF Stilly a few weeks ago, probably around the 29th or 30th of December. My wife just had our first baby a few weeks ago so haven’t noticed it was gone...

    Tennis Elbow?

Another vote for the theraband. I got golfers elbow last year from overdoing calisthenics and it went away after a few weeks of consistent reverse Tyler twists 3 times a day for 3x15 and using a little handheld grip strengthening thing when I’m sitting at the desk from time to time.

Advice on fly fishing in Europe

Haven’t been yet personally, but If I were in Barcelona I’d personally look into the Pyrenees region which has great opportunity. Catalonia offers quite a bit of fly fishing options though, just do a quick google search and you should be able to find a lot of information.

    Skykomish/Snohomish Post 2025 Flood updates/questions

I know a few people who have floated the Sky from Big Eddy to Sultan. Fishing for Browns in the Snohomish basin? Should be about the same chances of catching a steelhead I guess

How to fight Saltwater Salmon on a 6wt

What size tippet/leader do you run and how long is it? Not a saltwater salmon pro by any means but that does makes a world of difference.

Everett Washington best steelhead Rivers for beginners / Skykomish Hwy2

I had wishful thinking as I drove to my favorite S River this morning as it dropped quite a bit. Still way higher than I’ve ever fished it but a man’s gotta fish! The feeder tribs that are normally somewhat clear looked like shit. I bet some of them have some major slides up high. I was hoping...

In defense of the fly fishing club

What @clarkman said. I consider this my fly fishing club now and have met up with a few people so far and hopefully more as the years go on. I’m not a hater on clubs it’s just got to make sense. I’m in the WA trailblazers club which has a lot of men and women from many age groups and is...

In defense of the fly fishing club

This might ruffle some feathers but I consider fly clubs where old men go to socialize. I tried three different ones near me when I first started and they were a snooze fest. Most of the people there didn’t even fish anymore or if they did it was maybe an eastern Washington lake once a year in...

    PNW Flood Watch - Dec 8-12, 2025

My wife left this morning to visit her sister in Leavenworth and all was good driving wise going over 90 and Blewett so at least that is an option. Most of Leavenworth got power and water back again this morning (for those on a well).

NRS Approach 100 Fishing Raft vs Watermaster Kodiak

Could also consider the NRS Boundary 100 for best of both worlds. Similar configuration to the WM but non pinned oars and "micro frame" they call it.

    PNW Flood Watch - Dec 8-12, 2025

Looks like another road blowout on the NF SKY. Above where the repairs were made but shit that sucks. Closed from 2006-2024 and then who knows when this one will get fixed with all the budget cuts everywhere. Yikes.

    AI - spot AI

One thing to look at is the background information in these short clips, there's usually something off. For the first video, look at the three people in the far background walking on the street and the guy in the back basically levitates forward at the beginning. It is scary though and I'm sure...

NRS Approach 100 Fishing Raft vs Watermaster Kodiak

I own a Kodiak and Slipstream 96 which is kind of close to that and would chose the NRS any day of the week if you want versatility. Having the frame components and oars that aren't pinned make a world of difference. Personally, I don't feel super safe in my WM if I'm doing anything that...

Annual favorite fish of the year thread.

I would love to do some citizen science steelhead spawning surveys near me, not sure if that’s a thing though. That’s so cool! I was able to catch my first few steelhead this year but to be honest, they weren’t as memorable as these two. Nothing like native home water fish. Bull trout from...
