I have only refurbished a fly if the thread by the hook-eye begins to unravel. Other than that, I tie up a new one. Come to think of it, I do have a few flies in my box with hackle beginning to unravel. Got to take those out!

Went out yesterday. The water temperature was 66 degrees and it didn’t make me so happy. Caught 5 8” - 9” bass the first 40 minutes on a type 3 sink line using a black mini leech with a red bead head. I was hoping for some rainbows. Changed to a type 6 full sink line and fished in deeper...

Roper, I like your term O&O. Also, when I first used a trolling motor on my frameless pontoon boat, I tangled up my fly line on the propeller twice in the first month. First tangle-up I had to replace my fly line, second tangle-up I got lucky and the line was fine. All this was 5 years ago.

I mainly fly fish stillwaters, so, I usually have a full sink and floating set-up. Sometimes 3 set-ups. Full sink, intermediate, and floating lines.

Coffee in the morning, water during the day, water flavored with Mio in the evening. Hot herbed tea on occasion. A 6 pack of beer can last in our ‘frig for a year and we have a bottle of scotch, tequila and vodka that hasn’t been touched in over a few years.

I enjoy watching golf because I play golf and can understand how a difficult putt is, drawing or fading a ball or a challenging bunker shot. I don’t see how anyone can enjoy watching golf if they have never played the game for at least 3 years.

I keep mine in my wader’s inside chest pocket since I always fish with my waders on. If I fish out if state I both take a photo of it and keep one in my wallet.

Years ago when I wanted to meet women in bars, I chatted with this beautiful brunette only to discover that she thought she was really hot sh_t. I then looked at her and asked her when was the last time she waxed her upper lip. You should have seen the deflating look on her face.
