    Washington fishing guide book recommendations

I've owned Fishing in Oregon for several years and it has allowed me to explore a ton of areas. Can anyone recommend a similar book for Washington? Fly fishing specific is fine, preferably cold water species.

    Small green propane bottles

I use a 5lb tank, it lasts for what seems like forever. And best part, the propane pumps at most stations are analog and if I bring it to get it filled when it's half full, sometimes the pump doesn't even tick to .1 and they don't charge me, even though I got some propane. I just hate going out...

    Interested in a fishing partner

I'm more into sunrises and dogs! 😁 Any recommendations on clubs? I looked into the Oregon fishing club and was shocked at what they charge. I guess that's more about access to private water than meeting people though

    Interested in a fishing partner

This sounds like a dating profile 😂. I just want to meet more like minded folks and I'm not one to approach people on the water often. So, here we go... I'm in my mid 30s and really into steelhead right now. I mostly fish alone but only because I don't know others who are into this. I'm in the...

Got it, thanks for the explanation! I'm in Hillsboro. Have one you might want to sell?

Based on your advice I'd either need a 480 for the 13' or 390 for the 11'7. What's up with intermediate polys for top water flies? Does it not pull them under?

Do you have a grain weight recommendation for an echo TR 13' 7wt? Probably either the 450 or 480? The echo chart recommends the same grain skagit and scandi. That's inconsistent with most Sources saying go lighter scandi. The rage is a hybrid but I assume go lighter than skagit? Also, could I...

Idk, the hobo isn't broken. I also only know sink tips and they work. With time I'm sure my approach will evolve

    Unreal summer steelhead day

I was fishing a 525 skagit max or a 450 scout depending on the rod, 7wt Rio replacement tip 15 ft, a 10ft 12lb tapered leader and a general practitioner. I just couldn't get it to straighten out most of the time. Not sure if it's the cast or the tip isn't right for the head. Or maybe the leader...

Fair enough on the counts, but 1700 a few years ago and 10x that already this year is pretty stellar. Maybe there's hope? I realize they're hatchery fish but conditions are important right?

Is this in response to the difficulty fishing a floating tip? If so, I could go into more detail about what I was attempting to see where it was going wrong

    Unreal summer steelhead day

Headline: I caught not one, not two, but three summer steelhead on the swung fly yesterday. The fish counts are off the charts this year compared to recent history. It seems fish can be caught when they exist. Is this what it was like in the 80s? The story - I floated several miles on a...

That makes sense. We stood there for probably a minute discussing how to land him and he was just there. I guess I should have waited a while longer and let him do his thing
