    Yellowjacket equinox

Has anyone used the approach where you put some flea drops in a can of cat food, and let them take the poison back to the nest?

    Here Gallo, Gallo

That is so damn awesome! When we go, we bring an eight weight for baby rooster cove. They are a lot of fun

    Yellowjacket equinox

We had a YJ nest in our front steps, in a crack in the concrete. I took one of those single-use water bottles, dried it out, and put some sevin dust in it. I put the opening up to the entrance and stomped on it, spraying dust into the entrance. Workers tracked it in and killed the whole nest in...

Fishing over spooky, pressured, or otherwise well-educated carp.

Hopefully it will become a bit of a self-limiting issue, where clients decide they don't want to pay to fish in those circumstances.

    $3 toolbar

Is it borrowed if I never intend to give it back?

    $3 toolbar

Had to write off the labor as pro bono. I’m a huge U2 fan

    $3 toolbar

I amortized the cost of my drill and bits and allocated household overhead too or something.

    $3 toolbar

I may have posted this before, but another thread reminded me. I wanted to try a toolbar on my vise, but there’s no way I was paying what they’re asking for one. I grabbed a piece of 1/2 x 3/4 wood, drilled some holes, and hung it on the vise.

    Float trip heat

I know you said "hat", but I am a lot cooler with a big straw hat that shades my neck and shoulders instead of a ballcap and hoody.

    Here Gallo, Gallo

Looks like a great trip. If I’d been there you’d have had all the needle fish you could ever want.

    What Are You Eating?

I’m the same way. Getting ready to juggle the timing for short ribs, corn, and burgers/dogs on the grill

    PFDs you'll actually wear

The thing to keep in mind about inflatables is that they are Mae West style- the flotation is high on your chest and in front. Fine for bobbing in a lake or ocean. However, you’re severely limited if you need to swim aggressively to avoid a strainer on a river. Also makes it tough to get back in...

    Utter failure. I suck.

When I would disconnect the fuel line on my vw bus, I would shove a pencil in the fuel line to keep it from spilling-as directed by the hippie service manual. They should have said to break the point off the pencil first, since a pencil point has the exact same taper as the carb inlet. This is...

8 Wt for Saltwater trips and Carp when I'm home

I have 10 and 11 wt Boost Blues, which I love. I also have an 8wt Echo Ion XL that I use for carp and bonefish, which I also love. I just don't think you can go too wrong with Echo rods.

Suggestions For Battery Nav Lights For Kayaks Or Small Boats

I have some red and green LEDs that I can velcro to my oarlocks or hang off the rail on the drifter. However, the only time I'm out after dark is for the hex hatch, so brief and not far from the ramp

    anchor rope

In a pile by my right foot. Added to clarify: this is a drift boat.
