    Dismantling of the USFS

thx mike. from what the mormons down in utah have been advocating for the past few yrs, i am not a fan of selling off our public lands. they are not utah lands, nor state lands. they are ours. with usfs lands around the west, it would seem that having mgmt near where the lands are, would make...

What have you done for your boat lately?

this reminds me of a halibut trip out of homer ak. on the way back to homer, the gal assistant started pulling fish out of the box, and fileting them on the back of the boat, on a pretty basic cutting board. i think she cut up 6+ fish.... have no idea how she didnt cut herself. and i didnt see...

i forgot my wading staff a couple yrs ago, and got a camp on a very nice steelhead drift. ended up passing on fishing it, as i would have been a pucker dance all the way. figured, better to do it right the next time.

Truck campers: Looking for lightweight options that won't break the bank

Another pop up camper option is All Terrain Camper in Sacramento. They kept the product more basic, and four wheel went for volume and more bells and whistles. i had one with my gmc 1500 for a couple of years, and it was great. i bought it w/o interior, and outfitted myself.

    Pucker up

my understanding, is for instance, the roads in rural oregon need $ from the state to both complete building and maintaining. generally, from my just driving around, it appears that the roads in eastern wa, and or, are in pretty good shape.
