Are the brook trout naturally producing there? If so that's awesome. A lot of the times they are pushed out of main stems and into the most upper reaches by introduced species.

Yes, if seen similar behavior. One h-bird sitting hovering mid-stream taking mayflies on the wing. Much like a dragonfly would. After watching this and the fact they use spider silk for their nest put them in the "cool, not just pretty bird territory."

I did a quick outing this morning on the Sammy River looking for shad. No fish were caught or seen on the scouting mission.

I've fished a "beach creeper" a couple times and have used it as a bass worm. I like the material, but I've had issues with durability. Maybe I am doing something wrong, so 🤷

You literally have to get a hepatitis vaccine before using this pond. The north shore aka "tweaker riviera" is where the best fish come from tho.
