    Bad cold or something viral

Haven't caught anything yet but there's been two dozen or so people from my work who have been out with similar things past two few weeks. Definitely something nasty going around.

    Wanting to get into SRC

I'm a bit south of you and fish beaches around the "S" rivers and usually don't bother until April/May. For your area, there's not a lot of info out there as far as internet information goes. Like others have said, find creek mouths and focus around those areas with cobble like rocks, eel grass...

    What's in your vise?

Tyed a bunch of these Polar Shrimps on a size 1 hook for this weekend. Used skunk fur for the wing, really nice material to work with.

    Musk Ox?

Not from a fly tying specific brand but it is Qiviut. There's a video of Harry tying it online and what @speyflyfisher is what he said, helps it float more and the long fibers help it not fall apart.

    Musk Ox?

Funny enough, I ordered some last month but won’t have it until early March. Tying up some greaseliners. I’d be happy to send you some then if you’re not in rush.

    Tenting Wings/Golden Pheasant Help

I've tied a dozen of Walt Johnson's Deep Purple Spey and can't seem to get the feather wings right. How do you set them low enough where they are still showcasing the body? Do you guys have any tips on tenting GP feathers for wings/setting them right? Seems like the recommendation is to do the...

    2026 Gardening Growing Thread

I've planted the Ozette potatoes the past two years but haven't had much luck with them. I've purchased all types of heirloom and unique potatoes over the years from Grand Teton Organics but I'm just going to stick with Yukons now. I have the most success growing them in large fabric bags.

    FS K Pump K40

I have two of these and this one has been used once. $140 Prefer to not ship this because it’s big and probably expensive. I live in Snohomish county and can arrange meeting around there or somewhere reasonable.

    It dies with a wimper..

This year would have been my first winter season out there, sucks. I got out to the Sauk for a few hours on Thursday at least and swung a few runs.

Tried a Walt Johnson Deep Purple Spey on a size 3. Not pretty but good enough to fish

    What's in your vise?

More basics for summer runs. Now that I’m looking at them I think less hackle will be better.

    What's in your vise?

I pretty much have only tied Delia Squids and Sqiumps at this point sadly after a few years of fly fishing but going to start committing to tying classic steelhead flies so some super basic ones to start. Bob Arnold Spade Bob Arnold Deer Creek Variation

    Buying your first Bamboo rod

I just got off the phone with Paddy from Jmoonworx down in the Rogue valley and put a deposit on his 11’6” 6wt two hander for a fall/summer run rod. He’s does really beautiful work and spent a bit of time in the Meiser shop.
