Wow! 40 years ago. A diver retrieving your rod and grabbing some crawdads. Now that is cool! And shows that Crawdads have a long history on this lake. IMHO these little critters are an under utilized source of truly gourmet seafood.

But then you have the high dollar derbies. Marlin derbies are serious business. And so are the bigger derbies on freshwater lakes. Big money with big investments and huge payoffs.....I like the the smaller derbies and wish we had more of them...the bigger ones..not so much.
