A bit silly from the Wallace to the big eddy is closed all season. Some really nice water in that stretch.

Because the only trout in that fishery are chambers creek smolt. That program has been killed in favor of a brood stock. They want those fish out. They haven't planted summers in tokul in 20 years.

I do on occasion. I like single handers for coho but its fun to change things up. Mostly same flies/technique as a single. Plus: i can get it out a bit farther easier or in spots where back cast is limited. Minus: its a bit more clunky at the end of the strip where coho often hit.

Had a buddy who did pretty well on herring under a float. Not exactly cut plug since the head was on. Double hooked and rotated in the current.

Tried my luck at lings on the fly Friday. Needed to be close to slack tide to get down to them. Pretty snappy fish. Didn't seem to matter what was chucked as long as it was bright and big. Definitely going to have to get out a few more times while the season is open.
