    Pizza query

I have one of the Ooni propane fired ones. It works well, but I'm still learning how to get the pie to slide off cleanly from the peel into the oven. Have had a few complete failures that ended up being some semblance of a scorched calzone once I salavaged it. But it's fun.

OSP needs help (fishing closed waters on Walla Walla river)

Yeah, it's open for steelhead in WA August thru April, I wonder if he's a Washington angler and unknowingly wandered below the state line. I just did a Google Maps street view on the major road there that crosses the state line hoping I'd see a "Welcome to Oregon" sign, but I don't see one. I...

    Flyfishing Kihei Hawaii

That box looks good, especially the right side if you’re targeting bones. If you decide to chase the trevally, you might want more flashy streamers. I’m far from an authority on HI flyfishing, but this is what my Hawaii box looks like: The yellow and white ones on the left are a baby...

    Seeking Hawaii advice

For saltwater, no (unless they've changed the rules). For freshwater you need a license. The first time I went I was going crazy trying to find out how to buy a saltwater license online, until I finally realized there was no license requirement in the salt.

    Feather Craft Issue

Just FYI- If you’re going to go ahead and buy a separate light, I highly recommend one of the UV “laser pointer” types. It’s an extra concentrated small beam which is nice for precise curing of the resin. I forget where I got mine, I just did a quick search on Amazon and didn't immediately...

    Seeking Hawaii advice

Zak - Here's one more vote for the Big Island, specifically the Kona coast. I've been there three times, and while I can't say I've figured out how to consistently catch fish there, there is a lot of opportunities to explore beaches with a fly rod. While there are bones in A-Bay (like @mems...

    Old Steelhead Reports

It more makes me sad and nostalgic, I came in to the steelhead scene in 1986. and got to experience its last gasps of greatness for just a few short years. I wish, as a teenager learning the game on my local Snoqualmie River, that I had realized the fabulous fisheries going just a few miles...

A glimmer of reason in the automotive world

I always thought the Astros had nice lines. It would be cool to swap an LS motor into one and have a real street sleeper.
