Looking for Skagit River & Bulll Trout photos...

A fellow "S" river fisherman and profesional rod builder built both those rods. When he built the second rod it sounded like he was getting out of the business. The camo grio is EVA. I told him to get creative! Both those rods are 11' 5 weightish. I've been dabbling in rod building lately. I...

    NFL 2022 Season

I hadn't been to a Hawks game in a long time. Took the family to the game last night. Had a great time and had great seats. Lots of season ticket holders must be bailing on games because the place was packed with 9'ers fans. My youngest son is going to be taking over for the injured Lockett:)

    Bonk!

If the egg skeins were small it's most likely a summer. If they were fully developed then it's a winter. I would think that most hatchery winter fish in the rivers now would be pretty fresh/bright looking.

Freshwater Salmon Fishing with Single Hand Rods

Lot's of time salmon prefer a jigging motion. I find it's best achived with a floating line and shorter rod (<9') so you can strip/jig effectively. Only works if the flows will allow you to get your presentation down to the fish. I've got an old Sage indicator line that will turn over a bowling...

Is there a Skagit catch and release season in Spring 2023?

Dryft Waders - Anyone use or have experience with them?

I own a pair. Only used them a few times. Didn't leak like my old waders did! Can't think of anything I hate about them. I miss the shoulder strap release system my Orvis waders had, which let you pee without taking the straps off your shoulder. I've got a friend who has had a pair of Dryft...

The thumbs up is my new thing

I always wonder if the motorcycle guys get tired of doing that down low salute thing they do to each other. I sure ain't waving at every motorcycle just because I'm riding one. Most Darrington folks give you a one or two finger salute on top of the steering wheel when you're cruisin' around town.

Does the WDFW mobile app just kinda suck?

There's fishing regulations in Washington State? Apparently only the people on this site are aware of this.

    My river is cooking!

I always hit the Harold Engles memorial cedar grove trail when up on the NF Sauk. Don’t know about the fishing but the trees are awesome! Fished yesterday morning in Oso and actually got chilled standing in the water first thing in the morning with fleece on and everything. Then I go down by...

    NFR Dash Cams?

I've been thinking about getting one to document all the crazy shit that happens on Hwy 530 every day. Commute feels like Death Race 2022 sometimes. This was yesterday.
