    More CAPR CAPERS....

@Long_Rod_Silvers , I do know a few people who really only fish certain areas on the lower Columbia and they won't go if the tides aren't just right. I don't have that luxury. I fish when I can. Plus, IMO, it's not all that difficult to find new areas if an area you're used to isn't fishing...

    More CAPR CAPERS....

I've never really taken the time to collate those data. There are definitely certain water levels on some flats where there will be more fish on them, but that goes for anywhere. Lol, thanks! You'll think I was really crazy for trying on Saturday where if the wind wasn't gusting to 20, the...

    More CAPR CAPERS....

In a single word: TOUGH. I ended up meeting up with a friend at one of the more popular spots which is easy to walk in to. In spite of VERY subpar conditions, we stuck it out, however did not see many fish through several hours, either spooked or anything. I ended up heading to another spot...

 I have 2 rods that have graphite grips on them that I had started to build myself (turns out, rod building isn't my jam). The one I actually use (NFC 8wt glass), now has a tennis wrap over that.

Grips you like and don’t like..

That's partly why I started trying it. Once I wrapped my first one, I liked it so much I did almost all of my rods that I use regularly. What I don't know, however, is what it will do to the cork underneath long term. I did re-wrap my Epic Bandit last year (after ~4 years with the tennis...

    NFR Got any Herp pictures?

while mine was super laid back (that really goes with that species in general, plus captive bred specimens of most species are generally a little more laid back than their wild-caught counterparts). The only time he really "lit up" was when I came in with a thawed rat in the feeding tongs...

Grips you like and don’t like..

Full wells. But I also don't really like the feel of cork any more. So I wrap them in a tennis wrap....but still, full wells all the way.
