As someone who lives in the Kootenays (bc) with a reasonably robust population of grizzly bears...it's a pretty nice thing to have. An intact ecosystem with wolves, grizz, cougars, etc is even better. I guess I don't understand why anyone wouldn't want that. To just give up and say it's over...

look for the shoals to find the fish. if sight fishing use long leaders. regular fare will work, micro leeches, deer hair gomphus full sink), mayfly nymphs, halfbacks, etc. the main game though is deep water chironomids, look for the group of boats. Fin

yup, they have king boletes, chanterelles (different type though), birch boletes (like in the photo), and many more. they have more diversity while on the west coast they have higher numbers (pines, chanties, morels, etc). any king boletes found? I found a bunch in Nova Scotia but never in BC...

Really? We (us here in Canada) have a long border with you. We have wolves and it's great, I often hear them howling when I'm out in the bush camping and have had the pleasure of seeing them a fair few times. You don't think they step over the border sometimes to places where there is less...
