I hear that on podcasts … Guide as Pat Dorsey talk about fishing size 24 exclusively during winter months. I think they sink it with split shots. If fished dry I am not sure how this flies can be seen or tracked. You kinda wait and see. 😏

Mustad was once making size 32 hooks and I read somewhere that one of my favorite fly tiers (Helen Shaw) tied size 40 once. She was a legend. Here is her size 40:
