    A tale of two halves

Great reports, guys, thanks much for sharing! Aaaand, you got me, @Brute. I was like, "Arrow petroglyph?! Where?!" See, I'd spent some years in the Central Pacific hanging round a guy who was an expert on ancient petroglyphs. Aaah, you got me good. Kenneth

A mere "Like" is not sufficient. The photo of the Tayras is my favorite. So far. Please convey my gratitude to your wife for allowing you to share her photos. Simply amazing. Kenneth

    NFR Pizza

Ladies and gentlemen, THAT is a pizza oven. Would be totally at home, not only in homes, but in all the pizzerias that proudly declare "forno a legna", in this fair land where I live. Bravissimo! Kenneth

    Cell Phone Pics

FWIW, my phone, a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, has spot, as well as matrix and center-weighted metering, under the Expert Raw mode. I think the S21 series also has spot metering. The S23 series definitely does. Kenneth

NFR New Year Across the Pond

Happy Belated New Year, everybody! I thought you might like to see a few photos of how 2023 began on the Old Continent, just to get away from all the white stuff. So far, winter in Central Italy has been mild, to say the least, with average temperatures at their highest in the last 50 years...

    What Are You Eating?

Dear Uncle Brute, Merry Christmas, and thank you so much for inviting me to dinner. 7.30 PM as usual, I presume? As always, I'll bring the napkins. Your ever-loving favorite nephew, Kenneth

    Brrrrrrr and bamboo

I'm a huge fan of impregnated rods: like Dave pointed out, weather-proof, not prone to sets, indestructible finish, and, IMHO, plenty pretty with that nice satin look. Action? Bunkum that they feel "dead" in the hand. Cast an Orvis Flea, 6-1/2' of 3wt delight weighing only 2oz, and you'll find...

    Tetairoa

Wait, one minute you're making great food in the PNW, the next you're in Teti'aroa?! In any case this seems to be evolving into a worthy PDE TR. Tahiti is one of my favorite places on earth. Even back in the 1980s it was expensive, but so beautiful with truly lovely people, made some great...

This is the moment for the "coming down from the high" shared cigarette in bed. Not that I smoke, you understand. Thanks so much for taking us along, Kenneth

Fly Fishing & Trekking in Gabon west Africa

I suggest the above correction  . We'll also probably need new trip report post indicators, something like BDE ( Before DimeBrite Era) and ADE (After Dimebrite Era). And now, on to N'Dola! Kenneth
