One rod for both tight line nymphing AND streamers

Let me preface that I have never tried euro nymphing....but I'm curious and really don't like using indicators unless I really have to. I'm willing to not have the 'perfect' rod for either method, but would at least like it to be a pretty decent compromise. From what I gather based on...

The Fly Fisher in Olympia Is No More

I have not heard this and I can't find any kind of presence online. I know he spent a lot of time at Puget Sound Fly Shop. Another fly shop in Tacoma would be tough....cool....but tough. I'll have to check it out once I find out where it is. Mark

    For G_Smolt (Halibut on fly)

So cool! There's a spot in AK we fish for halibut in only 70 feet of water....gotta give this a try. Masterful in controlling the boat's drift.

    James Reid, Bamboo Rodmaker

I'm really impressed you're going for that long of rods and keeping it as a 6wt. I remember your casting style is really smooth, so I'll be curious if us mortals can slow down our cast enough. Bob Clay was very helpful when I was working on some doublehand trout rods. It took a couple tries...

This is also what I do. As they say...."measure twice, cut once" when measuring the reel seat and any possible fighting butt. Has worked well for me so far. Mark

    Substitute for size 22 hackle

Tried them on a central OR river yesterday. They floated enough to fish with, but got no love, A hatch never really occurred and I didn't see anyone hooking up....although Santa was out wetting a line. He also seemed to have no !uck with the local fish. I think they were doing a YouTube...

    Substitute for size 22 hackle

    Substitute for size 22 hackle

Tied up some 22 midges using ostrich with a supporting layer of peacock. Think it will work? I’d like to not have to by 22 hackle if possible. Thanks, Mark
