Zak, The green tubing is the hook guide. I would suggest checking out some of Sportfisher Pro Tube videos on you tube. It's a solid platform. The cone is definitely not necessary. I basically use it to break the surface tension of the water. And it just tops it off and makes it pretty to me!

Indeed. I also like the sand shrimp pink and orange crawdad color. A friend turned me on to Spawn Fly Fish which is where I purchased it. I know it's a Hairline product, but I dig Spawn.

I am 110% certain that the fish give actual shits when it comes to eyes. You need to leave just enough room between the eye of the hook and where you place the false eyes for the holy spirit to slide in and bless your pattern. This is known.
