Cut down a maple burl reelseat, glued it on and the tiny cork grip, buzzed the feet on lite wire snakes and now two coats of Tru Oil applied. My Hardy Flyweight fits like a glove……should be a fun little Snoopy Hotrod! But made for big old kids!

Ditto….I was a commercial carpenter for years, furniture builder, wood carver, chainsaw carver let’s just say we have sawdust running through our veins! I’m curious how the bond will be with the clear Gorilla glue. No foam like the yellow stuff. I’ll give a report on the glue.

So wdfw stocks little fish…..I’m making a tiny 49” bamboo Hotrod! I call it the 2.50 to match the size of the stocked trout. About 40 minutes in the shop, scarfed/glued a donor tip/mid together and shaped a tiny wine cork grip. Trying clear Gorilla glue on the scarf instead of Titebond III...
