When I was a commercial carpenter we swore by Craftsman 30’ tape measures……definitely went through quite a few for the price of one! At ten years old, my dad bought me a Sears and Roebucks pump the barrel BB gun….I still have it and it still shoots well. All real wood stock, the good ol days!

As a kid I remember getting popcorn in the red/white striped carton next to the men’s clothing….maybe I wiped my buttery fingers on a few suits. I also liked looking at the livestock like baby chicks. As a teenager I bought rebuilt three speed transmissions for my ‘51 Chev PU! So many cool memories!

Another day with tiny….slower than the last time but still a beautiful sunny day to be on the water! 15 C&R’d with one nice holdover and one not so nice holdover breaking my fly off. I did get the slam with trout, bass, yellow perch and a few bluegills. There were a few big black flying ants so...

That’d be cool if you’re correct Rob…..as my other bug was the Alder fly larvae! But from a different west side lake… I just googled Alder fly and…bingo! Right on Rob!!

Alrighty then….even a better day on a lake today! 29 hard fighting fish on tiny. Most in the 10”-13”plus two 18” holdovers!! The Hotrod bent and the Hardy flyweight screamed! The long thin points of the scarf are showing failure…..translucent under the wraps….lots of stress for such a short rod...
