The Twisp and other Methow tribs are tough fishing. As stated above, there are strict regs that make it tough with limited public access. The Methow would probably be your best bet with limited time. Also some fun lakes up there.

Permit are the hardest fish to catch in the sense that you can present perfectly to 50 of them, and they will deny you every time. If they don't want to eat, they won't, and this is their usual MO. Fun as hell trying, though.
