For me it was realizing that it's the friends I'm with that make for a great outing. I've known this for years, but at my age now it has helped me focus more on the time between takes with friends that are most memorable in the long run.

Here's an update to the repair, I think it turned out pretty well. Not a restoration quality but a repair for a working rod. The thread had a little damage, but I managed to save what was left.
