    Tube Flies

There’s two books out there that discuss only tube flies. Les Johnson and Mark Mandell wrote the first one and Mark Mandell and another author (can’t remember his name) wrote the second. The flies cover trout, salmon, steelhead, and whatever else you would want to fish for.

20% peroxide is available in beauty supply stores. Its not just the smell of ammonia that is a problem, the concentration of ammonia in the air can be high enough to kill you. Beauty supply stores also carry a powdered bleach that you can use for bleaching feathers and fur. Use the peroxide...

My usual pattern, leave dock, point bow to Vancouver Island, catch fish of the size I wanted, run back to dock. Many days the island was more visible...

    Corrosion at trailer harness plug

When I lived in western Washington I got corrosion on trailer connections all the time. My best guess was from salts in the air. I solved the problem by applying dielectric paste to the pins. Renew the paste once a year and no problems.

    Hangman Creek Chinook

Figured it would be a Spokanite that would come close. Little Falls dam became operational in 1888 providing power to a sawmill. Krusty had the right date for Nine Mile. Long Lake dam was in the middle. So the point is, Grand Coulee and Chief Joseph are late-comers to dams that blocked...
