That's some very good info. I am in the process of creating a wee spreadsheet on the different Hardy clones and their respective model numbers. Berkley also offered some nice Hardy clones, but I believe the size tapped out at the Princess.

Pick up some Outcast fins, about $100 new. The fins are shaped very similarly to Force fins, with the benefit of being able to use boots with them (you strap in your feet).

Those darn small Simms feet! I can't believe Simms hasn't upped the size on these, especially on the size large waders.

For someone starting out or adding to their saltwater inventory, this is a great deal!

Someone buy this reel; the cassettes are pretty cool. No grease on them, no handle sticking out so they are easier to pack in your vest, pack, or pocket. Pretty cool.

I have the Gallatin 2, gold and black that looks just like the reel in this ad, and it's an awesome reel and as functional as a freshwater needs to be. Smooth drag that sounds great. Oh, I guess the reel kinda looks cool, too. :)

Awesome! My understanding is the Element is not the best insulated from road noise and is pretty loud on trips. What is your experience so far?

I'd do that if 1) I lived in a dryer climate (where the canvas wouldn't get wet, and/or 2) I had a garage with sufficient ceiling height where, when I got home after a wet trip, be able to 'pop the top' and let it air out and dry. My nose doesn't like that musty PNW funk from canvas put away...

What are the pros and cons of this rig relative to your older (year?) Tahoe?
