Going to steal this idea. Sure it is a winner.

    British Columbia

Been laid up with a pinched nerve in my back with the associated sciatica, so what better time to start planning 2025 fishing trips. One area of interest is British Columbia lake fishing. After a short interweb investigation, it appears that Highway 24, north of Kamloops offers a lot of...

    NFR Soft truck toppers

I really like mine for keeping my fishing gear secure and out of sight. The system is not cheap. I opted for local dealer install and extra locks and the cost was almost $2k. I recommend giving a lot of thought to what you will put in it to decide if the one drawer or two drawer works best...

    NFR Soft truck toppers

Thanks. I had a folding hard tonneau cover on a Ford Sport Trac, which was nice and versatile. Not really a viable option with the Decked system because there would not be enough space between it and a tonneau.

    NFR Soft truck toppers

Wasn't sure if this thread belongs in the Gear forum but thought it might get better visibility here. I'm looking at putting a soft truck bed topper on my 2011 Silverado 1500. I'm reluctant to spend thousands for a hard topper on a 13-year-old truck. Earlier this year I added a Decked...

    What's in your vise?

We need to get back out after some smallmouth. They will probably jump all over these.

    The St. Joe in September.

Would be interested in a trip report when you get back. I'm hoping to get over there for a couple of days in three weeks. Wondering how easy it is to find a campsite mid-week in July. Been thinking about fishing above Gold Creek Road, but this isn't set in stone. Might also join some...

NFR Can you ID this bug

I prefixed the title 'NFR' because this bug is not aquatic (as far as I know). For background, the last couple of years I have been bitten by something that has left a knot in my leg and itch beyond any friggin' mosquito or black fly bite I've ever had. The itch last a week and spreads out...

    Man I Love to Fish

Looks like everyone was having a great time. I would suggest putting PFDs on them, especially when wearing waders. Catastrophic tube failures happen.

SOLD 2 Cannon manual downriggers w/ Lund brackets

Bought my used Lund with two Cannon manual down riggers w/ line counter installed. I haven't nor do I believe I will ever use them. The previous owner added attachments to the Cannon mounting brackets to fit into the Lund rail system (blue plate in the pics). Looking for $100 each or $180 for...

    What's in your vise?

Nice! I've dabbled with this general style. I think your hook selection is better with more shank to tie on. I stole these hooks from my gear fishing bag.

    What's in your vise?

Continuing the theme of tying with deer/elk hair. Butch caddis Missing link - damn tricky tie for me after tying streamers lately. This is a #16.

    It's a jungle out there!

My father and I were fishing the St. Lawrence River near Clayton from his little Boston Whaler when we were flagged down by a couple guy fishing in a professional bass tournament. They had run out of gas. As I recall, the co-angler did most of the talking and he was pretty hot. Apparently...

    What's in your vise?

First attempt at an olive zoo cougar. Head trimming still needs a little work, but I think this one will fish.
