NFR What I’m Drinking. What I’m Thinking.

The sequel is actually called "Oh God, Still Hunting". And he is not a robot. He wanders up to Oregon and gets obsessed with fly fishing. He actually writes an equation that is terribly complicated. If done correctly it will tell you when, where and what fly to cast a certain time to be...

Oh. I was quoting Good Will Hunting. Please do not slay anybody. I think that we may have just ruined JoJo's thread.

Sunday night drink @ 9:00 PM is a Pinot Grigio moment. Thinking about how Gordon Wood drastically underestimates the impact of social distinctions predicated upon wealth, especially inherited wealth.

April tying contest thread and the March winner is...

Thanks man. Legs are 30 # mono that I created a joint in with a heated needle. The collar is just a standard conehead that I put on backwards. It really does catch fish and helps the dropper catch fish too.

I also went with a peeking caddis. (or peeping depending on who you ask) I validated this pattern about 10 years ago. It's a nice and heavy tool fly for getting it and its tiny dropper companion down deep.

that's a nice fit. I put my Renzetti Presentation in one of the accessory threaded holes on my Jurassic Peak vise. No more shifting bases around.

I tied a few of these but the extended body was too skinny for a skwalla. I'm going to parlay those ones into green drakes. There have been lots of really good flies posted here. Peace

I just stopped fly fishing. I also just tossed my vise over the fence. If it emerges, I will definitely not report back to this forum.

    * Too bad *. And they never get blown off the reeds? That's it. I'm tying a reed pattern next. I'm so stupid! I need my two rod still water license so I can present both patterns properly. Please stand by for an updated follow up post. Peace

    What's in your vise?

Nothing feels better than tying a fly with your kid..... Except maybe catching a fish on that fly. I have a box full of my sons flies!

    What's in your vise?

I tack the strips to cork board and scrape down the hide as much as possible. I haven't struggled to cast them. (and I am not known for my casting) These days fly lines can cast a 6" Rapala across the river. I will check out the tandem tube pattern.
