We have a hummingbird thread going....... But this is way cooler! I saw one in my back yard last night!

What if the bird chose to stick around of its own accord? If it submitted gracefully to being plucked, slowly, over a long period of time, does the law still apply?

What branch of the US Government handles the removal of the carcass? Is there a 1-800 number? If it can't be touched, then how do their families and bird friends find closure? The poor rotting shell that once held the soul of a hummingbird just lying on the ground in this heat is heart breaking...

My Uncle Randall (@clarkman) attempted to teach me how to tie those big ol flies he loves Saturday night. My fly looked like crap! Then I realized what was missing....... Problem solved!

These are my low riding caddis. They have a double wing with the hackle in between. It's served me well & supports a dropper like a champ. My favorite searching pattern set up when fishing what I call "likely to hold a fish water".
