    College Football 2023

UW poised to have a good season. The DeBoer era started off good, interested to see how things continue with the return of Penix and crew. The biggest wildcard will be how good the defense is, especially the secondary. Im hoping to attend a game this year, preferably the Oregon one

    Visiting an old friend

That red belly cutt is interesting. I have caught fish similar to that in small tributary streams and caught the standard coastal variety in adjoining streams. Is the red belly a different strain?(westslope) or same strain? Awesome pics!

NFR Has anyone heard from Old Man Jim? Update: RIP OMJ. Give ‘em hell wherever you are!

I know he didn't like @clarkman, hell, I don't like Clarkman. The photos of some of those gators he hooks scare the shit outa me. Hanging your ass over the water in a little float tube and fishing a fly the size of your d*** is not for everyone.

NFR Has anyone heard from Old Man Jim? Update: RIP OMJ. Give ‘em hell wherever you are!

RIP Old Man, the guy flat out fished a ton of skinny water. The Sky, Stilly, Sauk and many more headwaters were frequented by him in the glory days. I'm pretty sure he fished every blue line associated with these streams and then some. My favorite was when some newb would ask where to go, he...

NFR Has anyone heard from Old Man Jim? Update: RIP OMJ. Give ‘em hell wherever you are!

Old Man has been around the fishing boards since the internet was invented. I never got to meet him IRL but we had fished alot of the same haunts. The guy lived and breathed skinny water trout. He is a legend and it won't be the same without him if he is gone. I hate assuming anything, I...

Say Whaaa? Hatchery fish appear to harm wild stock.

There are very few streams planted with hatchery steelhead anymore, and very few healthy native runs. The golden age of steelheading mid 60's(?) consisted of an incredible mix of hatchery and native steelhead in almost every major watershed. Give me an undeveloped free flowing river with a...
