    NY Times on Wyoming

My son lives there and is blessed to own a home. The job market and economics are whacky. Lots of crazy outdoor enthusiasts though. Fun place to live if you can figure out the housing

    Question for the Forum

Hi Bob, I think they are legit, no prob. On a side note, I am having a chronic low-grade irritation with my Dierks anchor rope jam cleat. Slips too often. It almost seems like the ridges need to be sharper? Fish long, WR

    LiFePO4 Batteries

I wanna join the fun. I'd love to replace my trolling motor battery with a 100ah. Would that battery also work well in my small travel trailer? I have a blue top battery in there now and it last about 2 days (or so). Fridge, stove, heater, water heater are propane but lights and all the...

    What's Catching You Fish?

Oh yeah... it's skwala crawlah time! My itty bitty cdc bwo pattern on 6x tippett got all tangled and snarled due to operator error, so I had to clip-out. Decided I owed it to myself to try my skwala chubby. No big fish but they were ready to get stoned! Such a joy to fish 3x

    What's Catching You Fish?

I needed a tool fly to get my small nymphs down, so I picked out a size 12 olive Possybugger. Of course, the fish were all over this thing! After multiple releases the poor fly began to fall apart. First the whip finish began to unravel, then the wire wraps broke and the body flash started...

What was your moment that inspired your transition to flyfishing?

In my 20's I lived in Seattle and was in to gear fishing for winter steelhead but commonly found the rivers blown out or got skunked. A buddy invited me to go to the Yak and try nymphing... Got a few fish on a GRHE and the journey had begun. For some reason I never use that pattern anymore...doh!

The Mountain Whitefish, aka Short Fin Grayling thread

Hiya Pigs He keeps it pretty simple... Fillet, then brine in a light solution with 1/2 white 1/2 brown sugar plus salt. Not much other spices or seasoning Alder smoke overnight or 8-10 hours He makes some great spreads and dips out of it. Enjoy!
