Big decision - done with fly tying - what to do with all the stuff??

I have a decent amount of stuff I've collected over the years - tools, furs, feathers, craft materials, threads, hooks, beads, yarn, foam, tinsel, wire, etc. Nothing is super high end or anything. Just stuff I've accumulated over the years for free or cheap. But definitely some good materials...

    Hi-Lake Backpacking

Very nice. I hit that area hard back in the 1990s. Not nearly as busy back then. Can't image how crowded it is now. Especially that climb up to those lakes - more of a fire trail / fisherman's trail. Tough climb in the heat. We did it with full packs. Wasn't fun.

    Smoked Out

Nice. Sorry you got ran out by the smoke. Beautiful area. Sadly with AI, anyone can know this lake name with just a few clicks. So for any true secret spots, be careful.

    Wok woes

"A textured (often hand-hammered) wok provides superior food grip for authentic high-heat stir-frying and searing, while a smooth wok is better for low-temperature cooking, such as simmering or boiling, and for delicate dishes that require less adhesion to the pan's surface. A smooth finish can...

    Bucket list?

Ooooh, that would be cool. Loved that season of Alone... Do you get to fish any rivers or streams? Shallows/flats? Inlets? Or is it just big open lake fishing? Dry fly options? 8wt and sinktip? Putting this son the list of options for sure.

Talk to me about anchors for a small lake boat...

Also be sure to have a quick release option. I do that on my kayak. But for an emergency, you can quickly disconnect and your line will be connected to a float of some kind.

Talk to me about anchors for a small lake boat...

For smaller boats, which I think this is still in that category, you could so just about any type of anchor really and rope. Just have one front and back to help keep you from spinning around if you choose.

    Bucket list?

So my dad has cancer. We've always dreamed of fishing Alaska and also doing a tropical type trip together. Never got too much into the details of what those would look like. Our schedules and lives never seem to align. But now we have decided to make it a priority. Looking ahead to next spring...

Wanted Still looking for fishing and camping gear for non profit

Do you have more info on the non-profit? Website or anything? Are you ever in the Monroe area? Snohomish? I have a lot of items I'd be willing to donate. Fly tying, reels, maybe some lines, a few pairs of waders, maybe some camping gear, and more. Would be great to go to a good cause.
