I'm a switch hitter on reels fishing conventional too. I'm set up RHR on fly reels but can do either. There is an advantage for right hand casters to RHR especially as mentioned above with Spey and even more so with lots of mono shooting line out.

I use the korkers too and that sole is the best all around but heavy to hike in. It's good on trails and really good in water. It works well on mossy rocks because the aluminum cuts through. Felt great on rocks but not on mossy rocks. Wading staff! Don't leave home without it.

Too much grease. Poor fit bb too hub. Hand grease or ez lube axle does better job to grease bearings. Bb pressure slows water intrusion but better imo is to increase grease repack interval. Bb grease bearings poorly. Inside one gets minimal grease.

It's also possible that just the int or s3 is sinking and making for an anchor with more "stick" and that matched with your stroke makes the cast better. If my WAG is even possible considering I'm not watching you cast, perhaps try playing with your anchor to get more of the feel (rod load)...
