I like to stand when I can as I've always enjoyed looking down into the water and watching a fish as I'm bringing it in. I'll use a flexible stripping basket for line management. I know a couple lakes and Puget sound shorelines where the wind or currents are perfect and at certain times of day...

I've been using a couple T and T sextant blanks I built for tropical fishing. Really like them and they seem really durable. My buddy broke both his Winston rods on the same trip.

Marriage

There's something about stringing up a bamboo rod by the water that feels just a little better. It gets me to slow down and enjoy each moment of why I'm out there.
