I've made them very similar to Mossback's recipe and they turn out great. Below is another recipe that doesn't separate the eggs. Still good, but I think the final product is a bit denser than the above and I prefer lighter.

Assuming there are fish around is any steelhead fishing really all that difficult? I mean once you get past learning how to cast, not snag up constantly, etc. they are pretty easy fish to hook if they are present.
