I think that if you're surf casting that those guys prefer holes but I would double check. For Puget Sound, no holes.

My opinion, no holes. It also allows water to fill up as you wade deeper and messes with the line management. If a sneaker wave gets you, it's easier to flip the basket up and dump the water out.

I don't know if they are members. They were close to the beach I was on. No fish for me. Four total for the beach by the time I left. All buzzbombs.

Hopefully these fly fisherman had some luck today. Nothing from the beach.

Pink salmon chowder for dinner!

Got out today with @Steve_S and my daughter. My daughter caught her first salmon. She was using a buzzbomb. Steve got a nice hatchery Coho. I got a decent Pink as well. Thanks, Steve, for a great day on the water and some great memories!
