Saving at least 26 of my best for planting in October. I lost about 40% to black rot of some kind. The rest will be for eating.

    Boat cover?

I got my cover from https://fivecsboatcovers.com Got it in 2013 and still good. All the seams and fabric are holding up. The only thing after 6 years was the rope buckle wore our and she told me to go to my local hardware store for a easy fix. I am sure the price has gone up but I would go back...

NFR Help me kill my lawn

Last winter I did a 17’x20’ by hand with a grub hoe and shovel. Lots of work and took weeks to do it, then had to dump in my yard waste and any neighbor willing to let me dump HEAVY loads (maybe only 20 gal at a time due to weight) in their 90 gal container which took months. Then did another...

NFR Selling Tools but unsure what some are.

He was a cook in a cafe after being interned in Minidoka Relocation Camp until drafted from camp. World War II veteran, U.S. Army, 442nd Regimental Team, 100th Battalion. Had lots of hobbies tho. 😆 @Mossback reply had me check and he was correct. Jack of many trades I guess. Concrete, plaster...

NFR Selling Tools but unsure what some are.

My aunt wants me to clear out my uncles tools now that she is at an assisted living facility. His tools are all hand tools with lots of duplicates and older electric tools. I will have a tool sale this spring or summer but don’t know what these are or how to price them. Thanks for input.

NFR Should I disconnect a car battery if it’s not going to be used?

Not a car person. My Aunt has been in an assisted living facility for a couple months and it’s looking like she may be there for a while. She has two old cars, 2001 Toyota Camry and 2003 Toyota Matrix both with less than 65,000 miles. Should I disconnect the batteries? I charged the Matrix and...

    2022 Garden Thread

I grew some delicata squash this year. Some have skins that are thin and edible, while some have a very thick and hard skin that is not soft enough to eat. All were from the same seed packet but appear to be shaped differently (pointed ends vs rounded ends. Could they have mixed seeds or could...

What have you done for your boat lately?

It’s more for my back but also the boat. I bought a used trailer in September from a guy, that pulled a fast one on me. I have to admit that I am a trusting person (stupid according to my wife) and don’t know shit about trailers. The trailer looked to be in good shape and he said he fixed some...

For those who know trailer wheel bearings

I just purchased an old EZ trailer and trying to find the correct new hubs. Purchased one set thinking they were correct, but the diameter was the 1-1/16” not 1”. Then purchased the 1-1/16” only to find the hub was to long and could not install the washer and nut. Not sure what or where to go...
