    PFD for hot weather

Depends on what kind of moving water. If you’ll need to get back in the boat, swim aggressively on your front to avoid a strainer or get to shore, it’s really hard to do with all the floation around your neck and high on your chest. All you can really do with one of those inflated is lie on your...

The Clarkman & Evan show: Season 3, Episode 2

Maybe apocryphal, but I’d heard that they didn’t tell the cast exactly what was going to happen so the reactions were more authentic.

    50 or 100ah Li Battery?

I had a 50 with my old non-PWM Minn Kota and routinely had to fall back on the oars when the battery would die. I got a 100 with my new PWM MK, and haven't gotten below 75% charge yet, the PWM is really good for battery life.

The Clarkman & Evan show: Season 3, Episode 2

Two is the number of Alien movies. You may count "one", only so much as you proceed directly to "two". There is no number three, and "four" is right out.

They stopped after two, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Congratulations to the Mrs! You could end up in worse places than the burgh. Be prepared for a learning curve, like when you go first turning left on one lane roads, that you don’t pronounce the t in Primanti’s, and the best way to eat that cheesesteak is with the fries and slaw on the inside.

    Furthest Travel to Fish

Loreto with Clark. Ready to go back. Furthest is Oahu for bonefish. It’s stupid, I know, but friends invite me to house sit and I go mainly for the fishing and whale watching in season.

Electric motor on a Drift Boat

Recent discussion when I was looking for the same. I ended up with a weize 100 ah battery and a long shaft minn kota endura max. https://pnwflyfishing.com/forum/index.php?threads/trolling-motor-for-drifter.12989/#post-295481

The final (for now) piece of the PNW App Suite: Wind, Waves & Tides

I’ve tried for the Vancouver gage and couldn’t find a formula to relate them, let alone what it means elsewhere.

    The dreaded ‘D’ word

I'm into sneaking fishing into family trips too, but I'm going to suggest that you just lean into the completeness of the family trip. It doesn't sound like the opportunities are worth missing time with your family in THPOE(tm).

The final (for now) piece of the PNW App Suite: Wind, Waves & Tides

Very cool, and I like that it has some of the cascade lakes where I have to be very wind-aware. Thanks. I'd love to see something with tidal impacts on water levels and flow on the Columbia, but as we've chatted in the past there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason, nor any sources you can...
