    Looking at Drift Boats

Morning, All around that looks like a decent deal. Appears to be in good shape and well cared for. Very nice looking set up IMHO. The trailer looks pretty solid. If those fenders are plastic you might spend some time asking why. I dont know anything about a swing tongue so maybe someone...

    How many rod outfits.?

Thanks @Jim in Anacortes, I think I got it. I may make the "Taco" about 6 inches around. I think this will allow me to "Taco" the Reel, the fly in the hook keeper and the two halved rod pieces. As we can fish up to three flies here, I will also make two other, 3 inch, "Tacos", like you...

    Head cement

@Greenbuttskunk, I was gonna go @Mike Cline route but I have found I am allergic to the Solarez Bone Dry UV Resin. I think after three years of using this, my body said no more. Total Drag. I love the product and the end result. @Zak turned me onto Sally Hansen Hard As Nails using multiple...

    How many rod outfits.?

Hey @Jim in Anacortes, Can you post a picture of your home made taco wrap? No worries if your too busy. I am curious of the design. I think in the near future I am going to need some new neoprene waders so my old ones may be salvaged for your wraps. I cut off the feet and use the booties...

    3 weight line options?

@Scudley Do Right, I think you will be pleased with the Wulff line. Ive had one for about 20 years and its still going strong. Its the Wulff Triangle Taper. I had a good 7 years of heavy use out of it, right out of the box. The last 13ish years has been a few times each season. No cracks...

    3 weight line options?

Following with interest. I think traditionally, 3 weights were considered not strong enough, to throw a sinking line, without damage to the rod. I see Cortland starts their sinking lines at 4 weights.

    Question about Booby Cord

I like this idea. I used to tie Big Foam Bass Flies with old flip flops. As I also dabble in leather making, the hole punches would be dual purpose. I am eyeing a pack of foam ear plugs to do some Booby's with. I also made some small foam poppers out of the same ear plugs. @Herkileez nice...

    Question about Booby Cord

Hey all, I know I will sound like a grump but daggum, Booby Cord Foam, is kind of expensive. I found a work around, for the tail section, when tying FABS. I tie on a rectangular section, of 3mm - 5 mm, flat foam and then cut a slit, into the middle of the foam. Works perfect. I can not...

    Road Trip Lake recommendations?

@Scudley Do Right, Congrats on the end of Chemo. If you hit Henrys Lake, Id recommend 4 other close options, for that time of year. Hebgen Lake near West Yellowstone. Cliff and Wade Lakes, between Henrys Lake and the Madison River. Cliff and Wade Lakes are smaller and more intimate...

    Getting started with fly tying

@Northern, Thank you so much for the kind offer but I figured out a workaround, with some clips, I already had. Maybe @Dez could use them. If my idea doesnt work out, I will take you up on the offer. Shining example at why this is the best forum, by far, on the internet. Merry...
